The aim of Laboratoire italien is to provide a focus for thinking and debate about Italian politics, in all its plurality and diversity, from the Middle Ages to the present day. In terms of methodology, the journal likes to promote analysis based on experience as well as legal, literary and philosophical texts and concepts. The journal is published annually by ENS Éditions and has the support of the UMR 5206 Triangle (ENS de Lyon/Université de Lyon) and the Dipartimento di scienze giuridiche at the Université de Trente. Each issue includes a special theme feature, varia articles, publications of texts, previously unpublished documents and readings of recently published works. For the inauguration of the journal’s website, issues 1 to 8 (2001-2008) have been published in full-text and on open-access.
