Trace is a journal devoted to studies of Mexico and Central America. The journal is published twice yearly by the CEMCA. The journal publishes international contributions, preferably in Spanish. The themes developed deal with the humanities and social sciences, and tackle specialist areas in fields as diverse as archaeology, demography, ethnology, sociology, ethno-linguistics, geography, history, political sciences and anthropology.
Trace electronic edition assumes an open-access policy. Four issues are currently available in full-text: Reacomodos religiosos (neo)indígenas (54/2008), Educación superior ante los pueblos indígenas (53/2008), Mercados Financieros Rurales (52/2007) and Comercio y Políticas Públicas (51/2007).

Humanitaire is a focus for debate and reflection involving human aid workers and researchers in the area. The journal has three main goals:
- to develop enquiry into human aid; it is the only French journal devoted to exploring the fundamentals of humanitarian intervention.
- to tackle human from a variety of perspectives—law, anthropology, political science, art and literature.
- to provide a valuable mouthpiece for human aid workers and relate their experiences to that of researchers.
Five issues (nos. 18 to 22) are currently available online in full-text, as well as “Regards de photographes”, a collection of photographical reports by Bruno Fert, Nicolas Blain, Jean-Baptiste Lopez, Laurent Hazgui and Yann Arthus-Bertrand. -

The Revue internationale de l’enseignement supérieur (International Journal of Higher Education) launches its website on Revues.org. RIPES is the official journal of the Association Internationale de pédagogie universitaire. Through its pluridisciplinary direction, it aims to study various issues dealing with issues relating to higher, or post-secondary, education and its teaching practices. Among other things, the journal aims to encourage and nourish various debates dealing with higher education, as well as to diffuse research work, reference frameworks and practices with a view to improving the understanding and quality of the training measures, programs and strategies applied in higher education.It is targeted to all people interested or involved in the development of teaching and training in higher education.Now an electronic publication, RIPES presents its two latest issues in open-access. The former issues, published under the name Res Academica, will soon be online too.

Espace populations sociétés is a pluridisciplinary journal that is written by and for scientists. The journal’s title sums up its three research themes: space, populations and societies. By bringing together research on a common theme by researchers from different disciplines and origins in a single publication, Espace populations sociétés hopes to offer a platform for the encounters and exchanges necessary for the improvement of knowledge about domains located at the intersection of several social sciences.
Full-text articles are available after a two-year embargo period. Nine issues are currently online in open-access, as well as abstracts and tables of contents of the three latest issues. -

Communication is a French-language Canadian scholarly journal publishing articles, research details, and notes relating to the study of all areas of mass communications and media, including studies of their uses, users, and content—information, advertising, music, fiction, images, etc. Communication is a multidisciplinary journal at the intersection of communication studies and the humanities and their work on mass communications. The journal is published by the Département d’information et de communication à l’Université Laval (Québec).
Full-text articles are available after a six-month embargo period. Two issues (vol. 26/2 and vol. 26/1) are currently online in open-access, as well as the table of contents, abstracts and book reviews of the last issue (vol. 27/1). -
