Atalaya, revue d'études médiévales romanes is a publication of ENS Éditions and the mouthpiece and focus for an international network of medievalists and Renaissance scholars, the SEMYR (Sociedad de estudios medievales y renacentistas, Salamanca University). Founded in 1991, the journal Atalaya was originally devoted to medieval Hispanic studies. Since 1991, in its electronic form, it devotes itself to medieval Romance studies. It prioritises studies about medieval Romance literature; works from other disciplines are also welcome. The yearly issues include special themes, articles, notes, accounts and other documents, such as indexes and repertoires. To that day, three issues are available in full-text : Hétérogénéité et tranferts (no. 11), Le métier de l’historien en Castille au XVe siècle (no. 10) and Administrer et convaincre au Moyen Âge (no. 9).

For the first time, the journal Archives de sciences sociales des religions publishes online its book reviews in full-text twice a year (June/December), which is the dead-line for the Bulletin bibliographique. About sixty book reviews (June 2009) are already available in open access. All recensions will be published in issue no. 148, upcoming in October-December.Until now, book reviews were published twice a year in the section Bulletin bibliographique of June and December issues. Reviews are now available in full-text before the publication of the printed issue, with the idea of “encouraging authors to keep up the pace, and spreading proofreading over several months”.This initiative relies on the idea that online publishing, following the rate of publications, enhances bibliographic news, and make it more accessible to readers.

Civilisations was created in 1951 and taken over by the Institut de Sociologie de l’Université libre de Bruxelles since 1981. The journal is bilingual (French and English) and publishes articles related to the field of anthropology around the world and throughout time. The journal was re-launched in 2002 with a new editorial committee, and today encourages the submission of articles where anthropological approaches are combined with other social sciences, hence revealing the processes through which societies are constructed. The website currently offers eight issues, including five full-text issues. Older issues will be published online gradually.
