Polis. Revista Latinoamericana aims to contribute to the development of an “open” university, where knowledge production is not the monopoly of an academic institution but is the collective task of the whole of society. Polis sets out to be a website for alternative reflection and research for new paradigms, and fresh proposals for analysis and in inter- and pluri-disciplinary knowledge. Polis is published three times yearly by the Université bolivarienne du Chili. It is referenced at national and international levels. For the opening of the journal’s website, four issues in full text and on open access will be available online. Contributions are mainly in Spanish.

The aim of the Collections électroniques de l’Institut de hautes études internationales et du développement is to publish the finest research relating to emerging contemporary issues by young IHEID researchers. The collections are open to both French-speaking and English-speaking writers from a range of disciplines: law, economics, history, politics, anthropology and sociology. Articles published are positioned at the intersection between international relations and development studies. For the opening of the site, seven volumes of the eCahiers de l'Institut collection are accessible on open access. They present a selection of the work of young researchers. Priority is given to those with academic awards within the framework of their Masters research. There are also articles from established researchers, particularly inaugural lectures.
